Biography:

● Cherry Hill resident for 45 years

● Senior finance executive for 40-plus years

● Global business experience

● Proprietor of a business consulting company

● Award winning senior executive for both innovation and teamwork

● Local youth ice hockey coach for 15 years

● Deer Park Fire Company volunteer firefighter for 12 years

● Deer Park Fire Company volunteer Board of Trustees for 8 years

● Cherry Hill Fire Commissioner for 12 years

My financial, first responder, and community service background and experience, along with the BOFC’s desire to provide excellence in public safety while keeping costs in check has resulted in sound financial footing and unmatched service delivery by our firefighters and EMTs – the kind of fiscal responsibility and service that taxpayers want and need.

My efforts, along with the hard work of all the men and women of CHFD, have led our department to be recognized as one of the best trained, most efficient, and effective fire departments in the tri-state area. This is a result of sound fiscal management and planning with total transparency. Additionally, we have also maintained a strong bond rating of “Aa2” from Moody’s, and our budget model is now being used as an example for other agencies.

Our treasured fire department has also expanded community outreach through the creation of a dedicated Community Education Division and increased our presence to reach target risk groups at all school levels. Our fire department has also grown into a regional leader in all-hazards emergency response, which includes fires, car crashes, emergency medical calls, technical rescues, and hazardous materials incidents, among many others.

A vote for me – either by mail or at your polling location – ensures that the BOFC will continue to provide the highest level of fire and emergency medical services, while remaining fiscally responsible. This is the kind of local government you talk about and need, and these are the emergency services your family deserves.

Best Regards,

Bill Kelly"
